BROOKLYN FEST EMBRACES ELE

Dancehall’s flamboyant entertainer, the hard-to-contain Elephant Man, gave another memorable performance at the Fathers’ Day fiesta, Brooklyn Fest, held at the Floyd Bennett Stadium over the weekend.

The man who is known for keeping the 'dance' in the dancehall and maintaining an incredibly high energy level, was, to put it mildly, more than a handful. Ele, with his trademark lisp which his female fans have come to adore, entered centrestage at approximately 9:30 pm, right after another of dancehall’s extraordinary performers, Beenie Man. And, just as he did at the Giants Stadium in New Jersey, at the annual Hot 97 Summer Jam, Elephant Man gave a performance that bedazzled.

His thirty minutes on stage was powered by ‘E’ for energy and Brooklyn had no choice but to embrace him. Ele reeled off his big bad tunes one after the other, and, not surprisingly, the fans could sing each one word for word.
Bad Man Forward, Gully Creeper, Jook Gal Sweep, Nuh Linga and Bless You More were among the night’s offerings.

Elephant Man, who is one of the top acts confirmed to perform at Reggae Sumfest Dancehall Night in Montego Bay on Thursday July 23, leaves this weekend for a series of shows in the Caribbean. He is set to perform in Guyana, Tobago and then on to Trinidad.
