FLIPPA SCORES POINTS WITH FOUNDATION OVER HYPE

Deejay Flippa Mafia boasts that he has the flossing title and this could very well be true. However, in his new single, Foundation Over Hype the deejay lists out all the other titles he owns — including house, van, Rolex and land — and really gives it to his detractors.
This song could be titled Unfinished House Part 2 as the deejay again emphasises the importance of owning assets and not simply focusing on the hype. “A foundation over hype, tell dem di Mafia alright, dash way meny when me feel like/No badda watch mi clothes and mi hype,” advises the Flossing King who declares that he “mek money more than how the bees mek honey”.
Flippa Mafia burst on the scene late last year with money-throwing gimmicks which helped to propel him in the dancehall, but which at the same time brought him some amount of criticism. He has since made it clear in his lyrics the importance of setting a foundation:
Some bwoy a run dung di hype and no have nutten yet
A buy bag a champagne and no have nutten set
When me splash champagne tell dem no fi fret
Because mi foundation done set.

In more recent times, the deejay has as been embroiled in a lyrical war with deejay Elephant Man. But according to Flippa, “It’s all about the music.”."

ETANA’S AUGUST TOWN TELLS A POIGNANT TALE

The Warrior Princess, Etana gets really real on her latest single release, August Town, a true tale of police excesses at a dance held in the community.
This experience so impacted on the singer that she had no choice but to put pen to paper and record the incident. Even the sounds of gun shots can be heard on the record.
“A who fa youth dem carry gone, go lock up inna Babylon hall/Tell me what a gwaan in August Town …” Etana implores as she describes the interruption by the police of wonderful vibes being enjoyed by residents and touches on crime in general within the community. “…it used to be a merry place/Peace and calm was the story pon mi Granny face … pure war deh inna di place… ”
Released this week, August Town is a truly poignant tale which speaks to all those who live in and support enclaves which seemingly thrive on gun violence. But, on the other hand, it relays a message of hope as the singer reflects on the good times and asks for a return of unity and upfull livity amongst the members of the community.

Do you know the way I can change this? I'm using Wordpress.
