Feds nab music executive at JFK for decade old murder

A wily reggae music executive — wanted for a 2002 murder in Maryland — was busted by federal marshals at JFK Airport late Sunday night after he crafted a new identity and eluded law enforcement for more than a decade, The Post has learned.
Kevin Reynolds was wanted for the the shooting death of Winston King in front of his screaming 11-year-old daughter in Silver Spring but managed to vanish into the shadows for the past 12 years, sources said.
Reynolds allegedly changed his identity to become “Dennis Graham” and soon climbed the ranks at popular reggae and dancehall music label 21st Hapilos Digital Distribution that lists offices on Madison Avenue as well as in Jamaica, law enforcement sources told The Post.
Despite his wanted status, Reynolds obtained new paperwork and passports and settled in Canarsie, Brooklyn while helping run the music company.
Sources said he even managed to fly freely from New York to Jamaica and back without detection until he was finally busted this weekend while waiting to board a flight to Kingston.
He was nabbed by the New York/New Jersey Regional Fugitive Task Force and NYPD detectives, sources told The Post.
Along with another man, Reynolds allegedly approached King and his daughter in a parking lot outside their Maryland apartment complex in November 2002, sources said. The men knew each other.
Reynolds allegedly dragged King away while his accomplice put his hand over his daughter’s mouth. She later heard gunshots and saw the men speed off, according to sources.
The child saw her father stagger and eventually collapse but told cops she recognized Reynolds before he bolted, sources said.
Twelve years later, Reynolds is expected to be extradited to Maryland to face murder charges.

Chronixx Got A Beat Down in Paris France

At a reggae concert in Paris France at the La Cigale venue on Sunday April 6th, the performers (Barrington Levy, Chronixx, Kelissa, Dre Island and French Roses Band) and their immediate parties were all asked to wear identifying armbands in order to have access to the stage and back stage areas. But according to an eyewitness, Chronixx and his party refuse to wear the armbands and proceeded to rough up the security guards. After his performance was over and unbeknownst to him, a group of guards with high powered weapons and baseball bats were waiting in the wings for them. It was reported that the beating that Chronixx and his posse suffered was horrendous, they ran for their lives and sought refuge in a chateau.  The occupants of the chateau hid them and had to call for the French Authorities in order to save them.

I-Octane returns to SOBs Wednesday April 9th for "My Journey" album release.

NEW YORK, USA - After a groundbreaking Jamaican launch of the critically acclaimed, DJ Frass-produced, "My Journey" album, I-Octane is ready to take his journey back to the States.  Backed by the Emperor's Choice band, his album release show is set for April 9th at the legendary SOBs in New York City.
He reflects “My very first performance in New York was at SOBs with Squeeze from Link Up Radio in 2011, and it opened the door to a lot more opportunities. Last year I performed here as part of my 2013 Dancehall campaign at Hot 97’s Who’s Next” show with Ding Dong & Chris Martin but this year my Conquer The Globe and I are going on “My Journey” starting with the record launch event. We’ve learned a lot and have listened to our fans and are bringing a different energy. This will be my first time performing in SOBs with a band so overall it's going to be a legendary night.” Octane concluded.

MY JOURNEY ALBUM LAUNCH IN JAMAICA

Supported by Digicel, Guinness and Busta Soda, the Jamaican launch, at famed cricketer Chris Gayle's "Triple Century Sports Bar" in Kingston, was a super success.  The artist introduced the audience to a more balanced performance through the cultural tunes from his new album.  This was a departure from his usual fiery performances and is in keeping with the showing the various aspects of his “Journey”.

"I started the set with Million Miles Away, which creates a new vibe from what people usually see mi do, it puts me in a different spiritual state and I loved it, so I'm going to give the fans in New York, that same side, if you saw my show last year, this experience will be totally different" Octane said of the event.
Paul Parris explained the branding by saying, "We want the true fans to represent, so we have a merchandise package available, where they receive a copy of the album, 2 tickets to the launch, a merch item and a wristband, plus be a part our Meet & Greet.  Make no mistake; we are also looking to push Octane beyond the diaspora market: partnering with Rob (Kenner of Complex/Boomshots) demonstrates our commitment.  It starts with the fact that some mainstream media houses will be present at the album launch on April 9th"

"Octane & Frass delivered a timeless album and we will work with his team to make sure this album is experienced across the Globe" was iterated by Tad Dawkins of Tad's Records, the distributor of the "My Journey" album.
