‘IT’S JUST ANOTHER DAY’ FOR DÁVILLE

Just when you think DáVille is down and out, the singer just finds another gear, stays on track and come with a song that have you keenly listening to every word that escapes his lips.
The singer after a minor stage furor at the recently held Sumfest, that shocked several persons because of the calm natured person he is known to be, has put that chapter behind and released another single titled ‘It’s Just Another Day’ for radio personality Arif Cooper.
Persons, who are privy to have heard the song, said that it gave them goose bumps as it was about something so real that we see in our everyday lives and can easily identify with.
Starting with smooth intro in which the singer repeatedly chanted “voices crying out” he went on musically paint the picture of “homeless people on the street with blisters on their and from a distance he can hear their voices crying out “Sir, can you help me? But no one looks their way they just ignore their cries as their pass by.”
As DáVille sings the intensity of the song resonate among the listener, captivating the mind in a way to take a deep look at the human side of life often times ignored by so many. For the singer, the reality is very hard to face but it’s “just another day” for the ones people fail to see and are in this situation.
‘Just Another Day’ has an international appeal and addresses a worldwide crisis affecting several countries. When he sings about when night falls, the homeless have nowhere to sleep the cardboard boxes beneath the trenches is their privacy.
The ‘trenches’ the singer speaks about is synonymous to that of homeless persons abroad. While homeless people in Jamaica rarely live under bridges of highways, they are noticeably seen on the sidewalks of piazzas, in abandoned buildings and open lots.
Some homeless persons are on the streets because of addiction or mental problems, while there are others who have simply fallen on hard times and have no alternative. These are the eyes that piercingly look at people, then themselves and seem to ask the motionless questions, “Why couldn’t I be like them? Or why am I living this way?”
It’s so very good to know that an artiste can take time out to not just look at the positive things taking place in his/her life but also at the negative things that affects us all. Well done DåVille this song is excellent and will definitely be going places!
