Beyoncé was all the buzz in her Halloween costume. Queen Bee dressed as a bumble bee while attending a gypsy-themed Halloween party hosted by Kanye West and supermodel Anja Rubik at The Darby restaurant in New York City last night. The mom-to-be was cute as can be, donning antennae, a striped yellow-and-black fuzzy outfit, and matching heels, while enjoying belly dancers and tarot card readings.
On November 21, fans can get up close and personal with the pop megastar when she releases Live at Roseland, a 26-song live DVD filmed at her intimate Roseland Ballroom shows over the summer. A two-disc deluxe DVD Live at Roseland: The Elements of 4 will follow on November 29 featuring the complete concert, bonus offstage footage, a 20-page booklet, and a video anthology that includes seven videos from her latest album 4.

Beyonce's Pregnancy Affects 'A Star Is Born' Start Date

Beyonce’s surprise pregnancy announcement at the 2011 MTV VMAs has affected her upcoming film project A Star Is Born.

Warner Bros. was hoping to start production on the film in February 2012, but these plans will have to be postponed due to Beyonce’s pregnancy, according to Deadline.

While Leonardo DiCaprio was rumored to join Bey in the Clint Eastwood-directed film, he has turned down the role.

“I met with Clint and I was so nervous and I know that it is the biggest opportunity of my life,” Beyonce said about the film. “I will work as hard as I can, because I can’t wait. And I am so happy that he trusts me and I am in good hands and I am so fortunate.”

All hail Beyoncé. The “Run the World (Girls)” singer captivates with her beauty in a Gucci silk shrug, bra and briefs by Nina Ricci, and Louis Vuitton hat, mask, and boots in one of the stunning images from her cover shoot for W magazine’s Music & Style Issue. In the colorful photos taken by French photographer Patrick Demarchelier, the gorgeous goddess flaunts fashions by renowned designers including Givenchy, Marc Jacobs, and Dolce & Gabbana.

“I wanted this record to come from a raw place,” she told the magazine of her fourth album 4, due June 28. “Playing Etta James in the movie Cadillac Records really changed me. It was a darker character, and I realized that if anything is too comfortable, I want to run from it. It’s no fun being safe.”

Beyoncé Surprises Harlem Students with Dance Workout

It was an otherwise uneventful Tuesday at P.S. 161 middle school in Harlem when Beyoncé stormed through the door and surprised students by teaching them the moves from her “Move Your Body” video. As part of the “Let’s Move! Flash Workout” campaign to help curb childhood obesity, the blonde superstar appeared in the gym much to the delight of her young fans, who danced alongside her and took photos.

While Bey was in Harlem, First Lady Michelle Obama was in Washington, D.C., learning how to do The Dougie, Running Man, and Cha Cha with students. She only had good things to say about the “Run the World” singer and their partnership to promote exercise.

“Beyoncé is one of my favorite performers on the planet. And when she agreed to remake her video and do this ‘Let’s Move’ flash workout, I was so excited, because this is what we’ve been talking about—that exercise and moving can be fun,” said Mrs. Obama. “It’s about dancing, it’s about moving.”

BEYONCÉ TURNS BACK TIME FOR NEW PHOTO SHOOT

The Beyoncé machine is ramping up again. After some down time, the pop powerhouse is staging her return to music. She was spotted on set of a photo shoot at a grungy motel in New Jersey on Thursday (March 31) with photographer Ellen von Unwerth, who shot Rihanna’s Rated R packaging.

It is unconfirmed exactly what the shoot was for, but the singer was dressed in ’70s-inspired garb, with a burgundy feathered coat, blue bell bottoms, and dramatic makeup.

BEYONCÉ CRAFTS ‘OWN GENRE’ ON NEW ALBUM

It’s no secret that Beyoncé is a work machine, but she isn’t resting on the accomplishments of 2008’s I Am… Sasha Fierce. While on set of a commercial for VIZIO, the pop diva gave an update on the follow-up to her smash release, sharing that she’s using live instruments to create a brand new genre.
“I’m actually in the studio now writing songs and producing,” she divulged between takes. “I have a lot of live instruments that I’m putting into the tracks to try to change the sound and make my own genre of music.”
Among her likely collaborators are Ne-Yo and Jim Jonsin, each of whom previously revealed that she was going out of the box on her fourth album. “It’s coming along nicely. I can’t speak too much on it, but it’s another direction for her, and she’s carving out her own niche,” said Ne-Yo. “In a minute nobody will be in Beyoncé’s lane. They really can’t get in her lane now, but they really can’t get in her lane after this album.”
Jonsin, who produced her hit “Sweet Dreams,” explained that he wanted to take B back to the ’80s with the addition of certain instruments. “I’d like to take it even more Depeche Mode-ish, like ’80s electro with just some hard drums. I’d love to go there,” he told Rap-Up TV.
Though you’ll have to wait until next year to get a new album from the singing sensation, Beyoncé is tiding fans over with the release of her full-length concert DVD/CD (Nov. 30), which is set to premiere with a 90-minute special on Thanksgiving night on ABC (Nov. 25, 9:30-11 p.m.).

Beyoncé Pregnant with First Child

With Alicia Keys and Swizz Beatz recently welcoming a bundle of joy, could Beyoncé and Jay-Z be next? The pop sensation is reportedly pregnant with the couple’s first child, according to Us Weekly.
The story, which appears on the cover of the magazine’s new issue, identifies a source close to the 29-year-old singer who claims that B is in her first trimester and was caught off guard by the unexpected pregnancy.
“B was shocked. She loves kids, but she wasn’t ready to be a mother just yet,” says the unidentified source. “She really wanted to get her album done and tour the world again.”
The Grammy-winning superstar previously announced that she would take a break in 2010 to focus on her personal life after years of relentlessly touring and recording, although she recently returned to the studio to start her next album.
“It’s definitely time to take a break, to recharge my batteries,” she told USA Today. “I’d like to take about six months and not go into the studio. I need to just live life, to be inspired by things again.”
Representatives for the couple have not addressed the reports.

Beyoncé made history at the 52nd Annual Grammy Awards. In addition to being the evening’s biggest winner, the singer became the most awarded woman in one night in the 52-year history of the awards show.
Beyoncé collected six trophies on Sunday, including Song of the Year for “Single Ladies (Put a Ring On It).” “I’d love to thank my family for all of their support, including my husband. I love you,” she said to Jay-Z in her acceptance speech. The wins bring her total to 13 solo Grammys.
Other big winners included Taylor Swift with four, Jay-Z, Black Eyed Peas, and Kings of Leon with three each, and Lady Gaga, Eminem, Kanye West, Maxwell, and Rihanna taking home two apiece.

BEYONCÉ TO ‘TAKE A BREAK’ IN 2010

Fans expecting a new album from Beyoncé this year shouldn’t hold their breath. The superstar has announced that she will finally take a well-deserved break in 2010.
The 28-year-old entertainer, who has been working non-stop since she was a teenager, will be slowing things down in the new year. “It’s definitely time to take a break, to recharge my batteries,” she tells USA Today. “I’d like to take about six months and not go into the studio. I need to just live life, to be inspired by things again.”
But not so quick. Before taking time off, Beyoncé will perform at the 52nd Annual Grammy Awards on January 31, where she is nominated for 10 awards, including Album, Record, and Song of the Year. “I was focused so much on my husband’s birthday—I threw a big party—that I didn’t really think about it. But it’s really an honor,” she says of the nominations.

Just last month, the singer shot two commercials for Nintendo’s Style Savvy, a video game that turns players into managers of a virtual boutique and features items from her Deréon clothing line. In addition, she will appear in ads and collaborate on the development of future products as part of a three-year endorsement deal with LCD HDTV company VIZIO.
So what exactly will Mrs. Carter be doing while she’s off? “I want to go to restaurants, maybe take a class, see some movies and Broadway shows.” She also plans to spend more time with her 5-year-old nephew, Daniel, son of her sister Solange. “He’s a wonderful kid, amazing, so smart. And I spoil him, so it’s a lot of work. He’s a 24-hour job.”

Beyoncé’s down time won’t begin at least until the spring as she has two weeks of concert dates for her I Am… tour scheduled in South America and the Caribbean in February. Additionally, she will be promoting her new fragrance Beyoncé Heat, which launches next month.
But don’t be surprised if the worker Bey’s vacation is cut short. “It will be the hardest thing in the world for me to make myself not do an album and shoot a video and turn it in and say, ‘I’m ready!’” she confesses. “I already have all these melodies and ideas in my head. I have to tell myself, ‘Sit down! Sit down!’”

BEYONCÉ UNLEASHES SASHA FIERCE ON DVD

On the superstar’s new DVD, I Am… Yours: An Intimate Performance at Wynn Las Vegas, out Monday, audiences experience a show-stopping event as Sasha Fierce and Bey come out to play. Strutting out in classic Jean-Paul Gaultier, Beyoncé hits the stage with “Hello” before bringing the audience in to help her move through “Irreplaceable.” After a “Sweet Dreams” medley featuring Anita Baker’s “Sweet Love,” Jay-Z’s other half sings “If I Were a Boy” and surprisingly grabs her crotch during the line, “Wish you were a better man.” And to the delight of concertgoers, Beyoncé switches from her R&B roots to the rock tunes of Alanis Morisette’s “You Oughta Know,” while getting on all fours and whipping her hair to and fro. After intermission, the woman of the hour returns in a black sequined leotard for a Broadway-fashioned narration of her life story, told through song and dance. From Destiny’s Child’s cover of Michael Jackson’s “I Wanna Be Where You Are,” to DC’s first hit “No, No, No,” to her debut solo album, to the YouTube phenomenon “Single Ladies,” Beyoncé shares her magical story. She even throws in an anecdote, describing how Columbia Records failed to like her song choices for Dangerously in Love. She reveals that executives told her before its release that it didn’t have one hit, to which Bey was sly to agree. “I didn’t have one. I had five.” Ouch. Beyoncé’s I Am… Yours DVD will be edited down into an hour-long TV special, airing November 26 at 9 p.m. EST on ABC.
