LADY SAW SIZZLES AT SUMFEST LAUNCH
The recent launch of Reggae Sumfest on the lawns of Devon House in Kingston was a sell-off affair which attracted any and everybody connected to the music industry. The high rollers, the profilers and the wannabees all came out and strutted their stuff.
The night, all will agree, however, belonged entirely to Marion ‘Lady Saw’ Hall. Having recently secured a deal with leading cellular company, Digicel, as one of the faces of their new diva campaign, Lady Saw was a treat.
And if her performance was anything to go by, then Dancehall Night at Reggae Sumfest is a not-to-be-missed affair. Saw wore caps as both singer and deejay and left guests open-mouthed in amazement and clearly wanting more.
She performed a tribute to women, showed her skill at social commentary and then secured huge forwards as she rode the dancehall riddims with expertise. All the while keeping her act pristine clean, while acknowledging her gratitude to Digicel for inviting her to be part of their new campaign.
Lady Saw is one of the featured acts on Reggae Sumfest Dancehall Night scheduled for Thursday, July 23 in Montego Bay, Jamaica.
