VEGAS INVADES NEW YORK THIS LABOUR DAY WEEKEND.
After rocking a club show in Hollywood, Los Angeles last night, red hot singjay Mr. Vegas is now in New York where he has a number of appearances and live shows scheduled for the hectic Labour Day
weekend. First up, he will be one of the headliners at urban radio station HOT97's "On Da Reggae Tip" show on Friday September 4th at the Hammerstein Ballroom in Manhattan, New York alongside Bounty Killer, Elephant Man, Serani and Mavado. The singjay’s monster hit song, I Am Blessed, on the Liv Up Records imprint has been blowing up the airwaves in the United States over the Summer alongside other big songs on the same riddim from fellow entertainers Vybz Kartel, Mavado and Serani.
“I am going to make a statement on that show,” Vegas, who just completed a highly successful European tour, said.
Mr. Vegas will make guest appearance at the soca party dubbed Hypnosis at the CPAC, in Brooklyn alongside Krossfire among others on September 5th.
Next up will be Irie Jamboree on Labor Day, September 6th which is expected to pull in excess of 25,000
people to the York College Outdoor Complex in Queens, New York. The artiste is really looking
forward to connecting with New York residents of Caribbean descent who make the event such a colourful one each year.
"The Irie Jamboree crowd is my crowd and mi ah drop all my dance hits over the year, the show ah go mad," Vegas said. The singjay's hits like Heads High, Tek Weh Yuself and Nike Air are big favourites in New York.
Other headliners on Irie Jamboree include Sean Paul, Queen Ifrica, Etana, Assassin, Spice, T.O.K, JahVinci and Blak Ryno, Freddy McGregor, Pinchers, Shinehead, Lady G and Tony Rebel.
Last weekend, Vegas delivered a mesmerising performance in front of an audience of more than 28,000 in Guyana. Press reports say that he eclipsed Busy Signal with a masterful performance that left the huge crowd buzzing especially when he delivered his huge I Am Blessed hit.
