I-OCTANE GAVE SMASHING PERFORMANCES IN ST KITTS, COSTA RICA
• On to new challenges
Two separate venues, huge crowds, but there was, no doubting the high-energy performance that singjay I-Octane dished out in St Kitts and Costa Rica.
His first of two performances came in Costa Rica where he performed on More Life Fest 2K11 on September 30 alongside fellow Jamaican Tanya Stephens.
He exploded on stage to loud cheers and great enthusiasm from his fans there as he dished out one conscious number after another.
A few days later, October 2nd, to be exact he was in St Kitts at Beamount Park Race Track performing on So Long To Summer Bash.
Following the excitement of the day’s horse racing, I-Octane performing on tracks delivered a sterling hour-long set to over 4,000 patrons.
So impressive was he that the promoters didn’t waste any time in confirming him one year early for the annual event.
The organizers weren’t the only ones who were in for a surprise on the event as the artiste himself was a bit taken off guard.
“I couldn’t believe that my fans were singing along to songs which had just been released only a few weeks ago,” I-Octane said.
Among the songs he unleashed on his St Kitts fans were Burn Dem Bridge, Licki Licki, Fly Again and of course favourites such as Puff It, I A Cry, My Life and Study Yuh Friend Dem.
Now back on the rock, the Digicel brand ambassador shot a medley video for his latest singles for producer Good Good Promotions Enemy Yard and Nah Eat featuring Versatile.
Directed by Mykal Cushnie, it was shot on location in Morant Bay, St Thomas with production duties assigned to Melissa Llewellyn.
“We had a great time shooting the video. Honestly, I think my fans will love this one,” said Octane about the video which he says should be ready to premiere real soon.
